Yorkshire-based housebuilder, Stonebridge Homes, have reported a strong couple of months of sales, despite the economic challenges the country is said to be facing.
The housebuilder has seen their sales rate peak in July and August across the majority of their sales outlets, and avoiding the traditional summer slowdown that is usually seen across the industry.
July saw the pre-launch of their newest development, Woodhead Park in Deepcar, with a fully booked diary of appointments and subsequent reservations, displaying a promising start for this development.
The month of July also saw the launch of the fabulous show home at Forest Chase, Great Ouseburn, which led to a flurry of reservations off the back of the launch weekend. Stonebridge have welcomed amazing feedback from the Carnoustie show home and report that sales continue to be buoyant at Forest Chase.
Chris Kelly, Head of Sales at Stonebridge Homes, said: “There has been a lot of scaremongering in the news about house buying and interest rates, however I think people are starting to realise that it isn’t as bad as it has been made out to be. We are starting to see mortgage rates improve after recent highs, which we expect to continue throughout the year as inflation starts to moderate.”
In addition to the two new sites, sales at more established developments have also performed well this summer, with sites like The Grange in Wakefield and The Meadows in Doncaster exceeding sales targets.
Chris added: “Traditionally summer is a slower time for sales due to the school holidays, but this year has bucked the trend. I think there are a number of factors as to why sales are good at the moment, the main one’s being our quality product and high specification. Our strategy of targeting high quality locations and selling a premium product is bearing fruit. Footfall to site remains good and we are optimistic for the rest of the year.”
Customers have been taking advantage of the many schemes on offer at Stonebridge, such as Deposit Unlock, Part Exchange, Assisted Move and Affordable Housing.
Stonebridge Homes are building strong sales for 2024 and are looking forward to launching another development in the next few weeks.
The Sales team at Stonebridge are also currently recruiting for two new Sales Advisors.
